Lunar Stock shells

Featuring a maple core with a heavy overlay of Hawaiian Koa.

Attention…. This is not a thin commercial veneer that we buy, but a slice of solid Koa that we re-saw ourselves from raw wood and add to the outside of the maple shell with the same process as the Lunar Custom shells.

This adds quiet a bit of meat to the shell and with that not only stunning beauty and value, but in addition killer tone and warmth.

To facilitate the proper seating of the heads we accommodate for that when we cut the leading edges.

Additionally these shells also feature the vertical Lunar inlay made form solid Ebony.

The shell is finished inside and out.

The snare -bed is about 7" wide and 2 mm deep with very smooth transition to enable precise tuning.

This is an amazing option to obtain a quality shell featuring exotic Koa from Hawaii.

This shell may also be ordered for Pearl FF.

In which case the bearing edges are a little different and there will be no snare -bed because the Pearl FF already has one machined into the intermediate hoop of the fitting.
